Bf3R Commission

As part of efforts to establish the Bf3R as an integral part of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment), the Bf3R Commission was appointed initially in 2017 as the successor commission to the former ZEBET Commission (Centre for the Documentation and Evaluation of Alternatives to Animal Experiments).

• provide advice to the Bf3R regarding its scientific activities
• the advice resulting from the commission's work is addressed to the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and is only intended to be understood as a recommendation.
• support the BfRshort forGerman Federal Institute for Risk Assessment in implementing its legal tasks and scientific goals.
• the committee of up to 15 scientific experts is elected every four years.
